The eyesight of Ukrainian political prisoner Pavlo Hryb is deteriorating, said his lawyer Maryna Dubrovina.
“I am not a doctor to make a diagnosis, but even by external signs it is clear that Pavlo’s condition is deteriorating. If we compare his health condition that was in December last year, when I began to defend him in court, and what we have now, it is not necessary to be a doctor to understand: the boy’s health is failing. His eyesight has deteriorated significantly, he is almost blind. He is often simply unable to read the documents that I give him, even the faces of people seem hard for him to see,” the lawyer said in an interview to the Glavkom.
According to her, it is difficult for Hryb to participate in court hearings, as he sees the witnesses badly. The guy began to orient himself poorly: even very simple things I need to explain to him several times. I do not know what affects this, perhaps, the strong nervous tension. The memory has deteriorated, he does not remember things well, ”said Dubrovina.
On August 24, 2017, 19-year-old Ukrainian Pavlo Hryb went to Belarus and disappeared.
On September 7, the FSB officially confirmed the detention of the Ukrainian.
On December 15, 2017, the Krasnodar city court extended the arrest for Hryb until March 4.
The Ukrainian is accused of preparing for the terrorist act at the school year opening ceremony in Sochi.
Hryb pleaded not guilty and refused to testify in court.
