Oleksiy Honcharenko: Cooperation of Ukraine with Lukashenka's Regime Is Unacceptable

The Ukrainian People's Deputy has blocked one of the draft protocols between Ukraine and the Lukashenka regime.

Oleksiy Honcharenko, People's Deputy of Ukraine, head of the inter-factional group For Democratic Belarus, achieved the removal from the agenda of the draft protocol between Ukraine and Belarus on industrial, scientific, and technical cooperation.

- After my comment, the draft protocol with Belarus, which is now controlled by the regime of dictator Lukashenka, was removed from the government's agenda.

Today, among the draft orders of the Cabinet of Ministers was the issue of amendments to the draft protocol between Ukraine and Belarus on industrial, scientific, and technical cooperation.

Let me remind you that Ukraine froze relations with the dictator, and PACE recommended that all members of the Council of Europe stop cooperating with Lukashenka until the repression ends and political prisoners are released.

As the chairman of the inter-factional association For a Democratic Belarus, I believe that the adoption of such an act could mean legitimization of cooperation with the Lukashenka regime. Fortunately, after my comment, this item was removed from the agenda.

As long as dictator Lukashenka retains power by force and carries out repressions against civilians, cooperation with the regime is unacceptable!

Long live Belarus! - Oleksiy Honcharenko wrote on Facebook.
