Charge d'Affaires of the European Union in Belarus Evelina Schulz share with the telegram channel Pozirk the details of her detention.

The diplomat says she was forcibly detained at the exit of Minsk city court building at about 3.35 p.m., September 6. It happened after her conversation in the foyer with citizens present at the public reading of the verdict in a closed trial. Ten political prisoners were sentenced to a total of 94 years in prison.

Schultz stresses she repeatedly signaled that she had diplomatic immunity, showing both her diplomatic card and passport.

- At the end of my detention at about 5:30 p.m., the police officer asked me through the MFA representative (who was translating) to agree to an official "protocol" and sign it," continued Schultz. - Throughout this "conversation", I insisted on respect for my diplomatic immunity and the presence of a representative of the EU delegation and/or consuls of Poland or Germany.

According to the diplomat, they filmed her during the protocol reading.

On September 6, human rights activist Marfa Rabkova and nine other young people, facing the same charges, were sentenced. They were sentenced to terms of 5 to 17 years.

After the announcement of the verdict, the "catching" started. According to HRC Viasna, law enforcement officers detained 13 people. Almost everyone was released a few hours later. Only human rights activist Nasta Loika and Daniel Koshevsky remained behind bars. On September 7, they received 15 days of arrest.
