Putin Bluffing, Setting Up Shoigu

The Kremlin has nothing to stop the AFU offensive.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has ordered Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu to stop the AFU counter-offensive and return the initiative on the front to Russian troops. However, Putin is bluffing, because the reason here will be rainy weather.

This opinion was expressed in an exclusive interview with TSN military expert, colonel of the AFU reserve Roman Svitan.

"Putin most likely asked his meteorologists when the rains will start in Donbass. He was told that in October. After that, he set Shoigu the task of stopping the offensive, timing it to coincide with the onset of rainy weather, nothing more," the expert said.

"There is nothing they have to stop the offensive. The weather will indeed halt our movement in some regions. But this weather will also stop the Russian offensive, where they wanted to hold it in Kupyansk district. This is the direction that will be negatively affected by the weather once the rains start," said Svitan.

"So here we can say that Putin is bluffing by setting this kind of task, because on October 2 it can be reported to him that the number of attacks by Ukrainian troops has decreased, Russia has stopped them. Although Greta Thunberg with her warming and autumn rains will be more to blame than Putin with his orders," he summarised.
