Russians Hit A Flight Bus In Sumy Region: Many Dead

A Russian airstrike on a civilian bus near Belopolye, Sumy region, has killed nine people. There are also wounded, and the rescue operation continues.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a video message from the head of the Sumy OVA Oleh Grigorov.

"Unfortunately, as a result of a cynical Russian strike on a bus with civilians there are dead. According to preliminary information 8 people were killed. My condolences to the loved ones of the victims." - said the official.

In addition, the head of the OBA said that because of the shelling 5 people were wounded

"They are immediately hospitalized in hospitals. Rescue operation is continuing at the site," Grigorov said in a statement.

The official said the shelling occurred at 06:17 when the bus was leaving the town of Bilopolye - on Sumy.

Frontline reports say the Russians hit the passenger transport using a Lancet-type UAV.

Updated: the number of victims increased to 9

The National Police of Ukraine said that in Belopolye because of the Russian strike on the bus, according to preliminary data, nine people were killed, four more were wounded.

The NPU noted that the occupants targeted the bus, which was carrying civilians.

"This is not just another shelling - it is a cynical war crime. the Russian army again hit a civilian object, disregarding all norms of international law and humanity," the police said.

The law enforcement agencies added that police investigation and operational teams are working at the site of the tragedy.

"Law enforcers are documenting the consequences of the shelling, collecting evidence, recording every criminal trace. Everything to ensure that every guilty person is found and brought to justice," the NPU added.
