Poland has filed a manhunt.
The third person wanted by Interpol in the case of the Ryanair plane landing in Minsk in 2021 is the head of the 9th Main Department of the State Security Committee of Belarus Andrei Mytsko, Belsat reports with reference to the press service of the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland.
The department noted that the search for Mytsko and two other defendants will be conducted through Interpol without the involvement of cooperation with Belarus.
According to the data of the initiative of anonymous hackers "Cyberpartisans," Mytsko was born on August 11, 1973. His current position is unknown. In 2006, he was deputy head of one of the economic departments of the KGB.
In January, it became known that Interpol issued red cards (notices) for the arrest of two suspects in the case of the landing of Ryanair plane in Minsk in 2021 at the request of Poland.
A third suspected KGB officer, whose name was not given, was said to be under consideration for a similar request.
It was reported that applications for European arrest warrants for all the wanted men had also been filed with the Warsaw District Court.
The Warsaw District Court on September 4 last year arrested in absentia the former director of Belaeronavigatsia State Enterprise Leonid Churo, the head of the control shift Evgeny Tsyganov, and a then unnamed KGB officer for hijacking a Ryanair plane with 126 passengers on board in May 2021.
