The Ukrainian armed forces' attack on Russian airfields has given rise to a great deal of discussion. What about the red lines - did they hit the bases of Russia's "nuclear triad"? What's wrong with Russian industry, since the long-discontinued "granddaddy" Tu-95s have nothing to replace them with? But the main (and for the Belarusian ally, first of all) topic is the vulnerability of the Russian armed forces. "It is becoming clear how unprepared the Russian military will be for a "real" war (for example, against a major NATO country). No hangars, no air defense, no electronic warfare. The bombers are completely defenseless and are destroyed one by one," wrote military analyst Julian Röpke of the German newspaper Bild on social network X.

The security of a strategic ally is also in question. And its readiness to repel creative, large-scale and unexpected strikes by a very prepared and motivated enemy on its own or in tandem with its older brother raises a lot of doubts.

Naturally, Moscow's strategists are now probably preparing a terrible retaliatory strike. But this is very little consolation for the junior ally. He expected to make money on the occasion of the "movement" in the region on the Russian defense order and to mock his neighbors. But here there is a much more unpleasant variant of the development of events, in which one can both lose money and lose one's life.

So you can think whether to continue rattling Iskander or to turn on the trademark Belarusian peace-loving attitude out of harm's way. Or just keep silent for the time being.
