Russia Attacked Kharkiv With "Shaheds": Fires Broke Out In The City

Two dead, 54 injured, among them eight children.

On the night of June 11, the Russian occupation army attacked Kharkiv with 17 Shahed-type attack drones. Two districts of the city - Slobodskaya and Osnovyanskyi - were hit. The massive attack killed two people and wounded 54 others, including 8 children, "Glavred" reported.

The attack began at 00:31 and lasted until 00:40, Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov said. The Russians directed 17 Shahed-type kamikaze drones at residential areas.

Terekhov reported direct hits on high-rise residential buildings, private homes, playgrounds, public transportation and industrial facilities. The shelling resulted in fires in residential apartments, destroyed roofs of buildings, burned out cars, and blast wave blew out windows. Trolleybuses, contact network, public transportation and industrial facilities were damaged by the strike.

Two people are confirmed dead and at least 54 others were injured, including eight children.

A 2-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were taken to the hospital. Several people were rescued from apartments engulfed in flames.

The head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov added that enemy UAVs hit a trolleybus depot in Slobodsky district. Nine victims were hospitalized, among them two children.
