The new package was announced by Kaya Callas.
22 new companies - including those from China and Belarus - may soon be added to the list of organizations that are subject to stricter restrictions on dual-use goods in the European Union, after which the total number will exceed 800.
This statement was made by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas on June 10 in Copenhagen at a press conference on the planned adoption of the EU's 18th package of sanctions against Russia for aggression in Ukraine, writes "Pozirk".
The day before, on June 9, Politico, citing a senior diplomat following preparations for the G7 summit in Canada (June 15-17), noted that "if the U.S. signs on to a coordinated approach, the next package of sanctions could be voted on as early as June 20."
May 20, it became known that the 17th - the last at this point - package of EU sanctions against Russia included Minsk Wheeled Tractor Plant. The 16th package, the adoption of which was timed to the third anniversary of the Russian military aggression in Ukraine, included the Belarusian Integral. The previous packages of sanctions included other Belarusian companies that in one way or another contributed to the Russian aggression, which began on February 24, 2022, with the support of official Minsk.
