Sky News: Israel Prepares To Launch Strikes On Iran

The U.S. is evacuating embassies.

Israel is considering unilateral military action against Iran in the coming days, even without the support of the United States. This was reported by Sky News, citing sources.

Israel's plans have intensified amid information that the administration of US President Donald Trump is negotiating with Tehran on a diplomatic settlement of Iran's nuclear program. Israel, however, considers some provisions of a potential deal - notably authorized uranium enrichment - unacceptable.

The possibility of an attack is causing concern in Washington. In response, the U.S. has ordered embassies in the region that could be within range of Iranian missiles to prepare to assess the threats. The evacuation of non-essential personnel from the US embassy in Baghdad has also begun, while personnel in Bahrain and Kuwait have been allowed to leave the countries.

The Trump administration has yet to provide official information to Congress about possible Israeli actions. The US president confirmed in an interview that the situation in the region is becoming dangerous and emphasized: "They (Iran - ed.) cannot have nuclear weapons. We will not allow it."

In the meantime, a diplomatic meeting between US and Iranian representatives is planned in Muscat, the capital of Oman, particularly US Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. Iran's response to recent proposals on its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief will be discussed.

Iran continues to insist that its nuclear program is exclusively peaceful and says "U.S. threats will not change the facts."
