The head coach of the Polish national soccer team Michal Probej has announced his resignation. His decision was announced by the Polish Football Union.

"I have come to the conclusion that in the current situation the best decision for the good of the national team will be my resignation as coach," the statement reads.

It should be noted that the resignation comes amid a scandal involving Polish national team star Robert Lewandowski.

Probez stripped Lewandowski of the captain's armband in the national team, after which the forward decided not to play for the national team anymore until the head coach there changes.
