US President Donald Trump discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu the possibility of striking a nuclear facility in Iran. This is reported by Israeli journalist Barak Ravid, writes The Times of Israel.

It is noted that Trump is considering a strike on the Fordow nuclear facility. According to Ravid, with such an attack, the US president wants to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons.

Israeli officials told reporters that Trump conveyed the proposal to Netanyahu during their phone conversations, which were held over the past few weeks. The publication emphasized that the Fordow nuclear site may be beyond Israel's military capabilities.

At the same time, the White House has denied that the US wants to strike Iran, the journalists recalled. Tehran, on the other hand, says the Fordow nuclear site has already suffered limited damage from recent Israeli attacks.
