Israel's military is waging a "war of salvation" and is prepared to deal Iran a "crushing blow," Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has said.

Netanyahu visited Bat Yam, where an Iranian ballistic missile hit a high-rise apartment building overnight. He offered condolences to the families of the victims and said Iran would pay a "very high price" for what happened.

"We are engaged in an existential struggle against a brutal enemy that seeks our destruction. Our fighters and pilots are operating courageously in the skies over Iran. We will deal them a crushing blow - and we will win," the Israeli prime minister said in a message on his Telegram channel.
