In Iran, State TV Was Interrupted By Calls For Protests

Footage from the protests broke into the airwaves during the broadcast of Iranian state television. The Iranian authorities admitted technical interruptions.

It was reported by the Telegram channel of Israeli journalist Amihai Shtein.

According to the Israeli journalist, the satellite signal of the Iranian TV and radio company was interrupted. Viewers were shown video clips from street actions instead of the official program.

"Stand up! This is your moment. Take to the streets. Take control of your future," the call appeared on TV screens.

The Iranian side officially acknowledged that there was indeed interference in the TV broadcast, but did not say who was behind the interference.
