Russia's dictator was asked about the attack on Kiev.
On the night of June 19, Vladimir Putin gave a press conference. During a meeting with the heads of world news agencies, the Kremlin head said that Russia allegedly did not destroy residential neighborhoods in Kiev.
This was reported by "24 Kanal" with reference to the Russian media, which quoted Putin.
In the course of the press conference, Vladimir Putin was traditionally asked relatively neutral and general questions. However, one journalist did ask the Kremlin chief about the brutal strike on Kiev, which Russian troops carried out on the night of June 17.
In response, Putin coughed and even lost his voice.
"Russia did not destroy residential neighborhoods in Kiev, the strike was on military factories. If your journalists had seen how our missiles destroyed entire residential neighborhoods, they could hardly tell you anything," Putin said.
The Kremlin dictator also once again repeated his own thesis that the Ukrainian leadership allegedly started the war on its own territory with heavy equipment and aircraft, but that "no one wants to remember about it today."
"We believe that we did not start the hostilities in Ukraine, but are trying to end them," Putin cynically emphasized.
By the way, during the press conference, Vladimir Putin also said that "the situation for Kiev will get worse." At the same time, the Kremlin chief added that Russia was ready to continue negotiations and a new round was possible after June 22.
