The Kremlin chief disassociated himself from Iran's conflict with Israel.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has declared his unwillingness to help Iran repel Israeli air attacks.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Russian president's press conference at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The Kremlin chief noted that Russia once offered its "Iranian friends to work in the field of air defense systems." However, at that time, "the partners did not show much interest."

"As for the strategic partnership agreement, there are no articles related to defense. And our Iranian friends are not asking for it. Therefore, there is practically nothing to discuss," Putin said.

He also confirmed that Russian air defense systems had previously been supplied to Iran.
