The trade war resumes.
Chinese authorities believe that US actions, including new chip export control rules and threats to revoke student visas, violate agreements reached by Washington and Beijing and harm Chinese interests.
Associated Press reports Associated Press. "The United States has unilaterally provoked new economic and trade disagreements, increasing the uncertainty and instability of bilateral economic and trade relations," the agency quoted the Chinese Ministry of Commerce as saying.
"These actions seriously contradict the consensus reached at the meeting in Geneva last month," the document explained.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce explained that China has fulfilled its part of the agreement, while the United States has violated the agreements. In case of further non-compliance, the Chinese authorities may take "decisive measures," the statement emphasized.
