The regime is not expecting anything good.
The results of the presidential election in Poland, which was won by the president of the Institute of National Remembrance Karol Nawrocki, supported by the Law and Justice party, will not have a significant impact on Polish-Belarusian relations, as there is a consensus on this issue among the country's politicians, this opinion was expressed by "Pozirku" political scientist Valery Karbalevich.
"The official Belarusian authorities understood it, and therefore, as one can judge from public statements, official Minsk did not bet on one or another favorite and did not try to influence the election results in any way, as it did during the parliamentary elections in Poland or Lithuania. Minsk considered that any of the winners would not treat the official Belarusian authorities very well," said Karbalevich.
According to the State Election Commission of Poland, in the second round of the presidential election on June 1, President of the Institute of National Memory Navrocki won 50.89% of the votes (with a turnout of 71.7%), while his opponent, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski - 49.11%.
