Sergei Tikhanovsky Has Been Released

(updated) Fourteen political prisoners have been released.

Political prisoner, people's blogger Sergei Tikhanovsky has been released. With him were released journalist Igor Karney, MSLU teacher Natalya Dulina, anarchist activist Akihiro Gaevsky-Hanada, Sergei Sheleg, Galina Krasnyanskaya, Kirill Balakhonov, Allan Royo, as well as three Polish citizens. A total of 14 political prisoners are known to have been released.

"Thanks to President Trump's strong leadership, 14 prisoners from Belarus were released today. Thank you to the government of Lithuania for their cooperation and assistance - they remain a true friend and ally," John Cole, Deputy Special Representative Keith Kellogg, wrote on Twitter.

The announcement was made hours after Kellogg met with Lukashenko.
