The criminal case under the article "Agent Activity" was considered in Hrodna Regional Court (Judge Anatoli Zayats) in February 2023. Zhyvalevsky was accused of "espionage" and sentenced to four years in prison.

Zhyvalevsky was to be released on August 16, 2025.
