The WSU continues to reorganize to improve efficiency.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to reorganize to improve efficiency. This will create more capable reserves for counteroffensive and offensive actions.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the AFU Commander-in-Chief Alexandr Syrsky at a meeting with journalists.
"Last year we started reorganization of the Armed Forces in the conditions of combat operations and envisaged the creation of army corps. The main purpose of the transition to a new organizational structure is to increase the efficiency of our actions and reduce the burden on military management bodies," the commander-in-chief said.
According to Syrsky, within the framework of the reorganization it is planned to reduce the number of management objects that are directly subordinated to a particular body (army corps). At the same time, the OSGV level will remain, while the OTG level will be gradually eliminated.
According to him, the first turn of army corps directorates with support units have already completed their combat alignment and have taken their bands of responsibility and certain sets of troops. Further - the next turns, and so all corps will take their lanes.
Syrsky added that it is primarily about more effective use of all available forces and means, optimizing the distribution of artillery, as well as increasing the number of units of unmanned systems.
"I hope that this reorganization will give us the opportunity, first of all, to save personnel, that is, more rational use of our soldiers who directly perform combat tasks. And also - to create more capable reserves to be able to conduct active counteroffensive and offensive actions," - said the AFU commander-in-chief.
He also noted that corps commanders have selected their own management, they were allowed to independently select deputies. This has also led to the rejuvenation of the operational leadership of the army.
"The vast majority of corps commanders are former brigade commanders who distinguished themselves on the battlefield. Their deputies, chiefs of staff are the same way. We hope that this reorganization will provide new opportunities in terms of efficiency in the use of units, application of combat experience, strengthening control over brigades, reducing our losses and increasing the volume of destroyed enemies," Syrsky added.
