He spent four years in custody.
A journalist of the Ukrainian service's project "Radio Liberty Crimea.Realii" Vladislav Yesipenko has been released after four years in prison.
Russian authorities in annexed Crimea sentenced him to a prison term on charges of collecting information for Ukrainian intelligence. Esipenko has denied the charges, writes Radio Liberty.
Esipenko, a Russian and Ukrainian citizen, was arrested in March 2021. In February 2022, a Russian court in Crimea sentenced him to six years in prison on espionage charges. A court in Moscow later reduced the sentence to five years. He was also charged with storage and transportation of explosives.
