Khamenei Handed Putin A Letter

Ayatollah asks Russia to support Iranian regime.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who has traveled to Moscow to meet with Putin, will hand him a letter from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei asking him to support Tehran after US strikes on nuclear facilities, Reuters quoted sources as saying.

The interlocutors said the Iranian side was "not yet impressed" with Russia's support amid the ongoing Israeli operation and the US strike, and wanted Putin to "do more." They did not specify exactly what kind of assistance Tehran was counting on.

Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the subject of Putin and Araqchi's talks was "extremely clear." Asked what Russia is ready to do for Iran, he said, "It all depends on what Iran needs."
