As ASTRA has learned, a serviceman suspected of blowing up a grenade in a cafe in the village of Gorshechnoye in Kursk Region has already been detained.

The incident occurred on the night of June 23. According to ASTRA, 40-year-old Trufanov broke a glass window in the Semeynoye cafe, after which he threw a grenade inside. The explosion was enough to damage nine window panes, as well as walls, ceiling and furniture. There was no fire and no casualties.

The police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (deliberate destruction or damage to property committed in a generally dangerous way).

The detainee confessed and was handed over to representatives of the military commandant's office.
