Ukraine Has Returned "Bayraktars" To The Frontline

After a long hiatus, Turkish drones have started taking out Russian occupiers again.

The Ukrainian military has again used Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones in combat operations against the Russian occupiers. This was reported by German TV channel N-tv on June 26.

Ukrainian Navy Commander Alexei Neizhpapa published a video a few days ago showing Bayraktar TB2 destroying a Russian military boat in the river zone of Kherson region. This became the first documented use of the drone in recent months.

The Bayraktar TB2 drone gained widespread popularity at the start of a full-scale invasion in 2022. Back then, these Turkish "birds" were effective in defeating Russian tanks and artillery. However, after the modernization of Russian air defense systems and REB means, the drone lost its effectiveness.

According to Euromaidanpress, the use of Bayraktar now could indicate vulnerabilities in Russian air defenses in southern Ukraine, which has opened new opportunities for Ukrainian drones to operate.
