A scandal has erupted in Russia, exposing the attitude of Putin's regime and propagandists toward those who are called "heroes."
On a live broadcast on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, the grandmother of one of the liquidated Russian military officers described the real hell faced by the families of those killed in the war in Ukraine.
She was first yelled at and then disconnected from the airwaves, writes "Dialog.UA".
The woman, who reached the radio station's airwaves, was desperate. "The question arises for us, Russian citizens, why is there no humane treatment for the dead Russian military? (...) Why are the bodies of our dead veterans lying scattered in muddy fields, forests, ruins for half a year, and sometimes a year or more. Forgotten, unnecessary for commanders. Like waste material! Thousands of surnames, photos... Our mothers, wives beg the commanders of military units, beg the Ministry of Defense to help return the bodies of the dead, which over time have turned into nothing, rotting! The bodies are rotting! They won't return them. Commanders are silent. We appeal to the Ministry of Defense - no results, no answers. No action! Tell us what should be done to bring humanism back to Russia? Why do they allow the bodies of dead heroes to be subjected to destruction and decomposition?" the pensioner asked. - asked the pensioner.
The woman's words provoked open aggression from the hosts of the program - Kremlin propagandists Viktor Barants and Mikhail Timoshenko.
First, they tried to convince the listener that since she had not personally seen the body, then "the problem does not exist." However, when the woman said that her grandson's body had been rotting in Ukraine for six months, the tone changed dramatically.
The propagandists turned to shouting, accused the woman of lying and immediately interrupted the broadcast. "That's it, stop. I don't want to listen any further, it's clear! She doesn't need an answer! She doesn't. It's just ordinary emotions spewed into space... I won't listen to the general crap! Useless conversation!" - said the propagandists.
The situation around the occupants killed at the front is not new. The Ukrainian side regularly reports that the bodies of Russian soldiers remain on the battlefields for months, and official structures of the Russian Federation do not show interest in their return.
International humanitarian organizations have recorded numerous cases when trucks with the bodies of soldiers were found only after many months.
