The AFU General Staff Announced The Destruction Of 12 Russian Strategic Bombers After Operation Web

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) updated the list of destroyed military equipment of the Russian army, adding 12 airplanes to it.

This comes after Operation Web, in which the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) attacked airfields with Russia's strategic aviation in Murmansk, Ryazan, Ivanovo and Irkutsk regions with drones.

The SBU claimed to have destroyed 41 aircraft, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3 and Tu-160. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky also spoke of disabling 34 percent of Russia's strategic bombers with the help of 117 drones.

The SBU carried out Operation Web on June 1. During it, trucks with attack drones were driven to Russian airfields. As a result, the Russian military did not have time to overtake the planes and could not use air defense systems.
