No one helped him.
On the evening of June 3 at Yaroslavsky Railway Station in central Moscow, armed men in black grabbed a man and forced him into the trunk of a Mercedes with flashers and AMR license plates, which are often used by law enforcers, Baza reported.
According to eyewitnesses, the kidnapped man shouted that it was not the police who grabbed him and called for help, but no one helped him. Police officers then tried to apprehend the kidnappers' car, but they evaded pursuit. Later, the Mercedes was stopped near the Kiev highway, three kilometers from the Moscow Ring Road, but the kidnapped man was no longer in it, informed sources told Baza. At the same time, the Mercedes itself with AMR series license plates had previously often accompanied the car of Saidakhmed Eldarbiyev, who was earlier described in the media as a person close to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and even his assistant.
According to "Beware the News", the kidnapped man turned out to be 39-year-old Areg Shchepikhin, who previously went by the surname Oganesyan. The man lives in Khimki and calls himself a businessman, a hero of Russia and a top manager. Among other things, he was a participant in the Russia - Land of Opportunities contest, where he presented an app to create new images for people, and founded the New Russian World party to teach young people how to make money. Before he was kidnapped, Shchepikhin recorded several videos, one of which "insulted the Chechen people, Allah and the Koran." The videos came to the attention of Chechen bloggers. They circulated them, demanding that the man be found and punished. According to Shchepikhin's mother, he became sharply negative toward Muslims because of the war in Karabakh, during which Azerbaijan gained full control over the region.
The Transportation Department of the Interior Ministry for the Central Federal District reported that "in the course of monitoring social networks, a publication about unlawful actions against a man at the Yaroslavsky railway station was revealed." After that, the police began to verify the incident. According to the telegram channel "112", in the morning the detained "Mercedes" was taken to the Yaroslavsky railway station, where investigative actions began. Shchepikhin himself is not in the car, where he is - it is unknown.
