The night and morning of June 1 were record-breaking in terms of the number of UAVs flying into Belarus from Ukraine during the Russian massive attack. After a relative calm in the spring of 2025, the first day of summer brought to mind the problem of Russian drones, which was observed in the fall and winter of 2024-2025. Back then, drones flew through Belarusian cities en masse, sometimes exploding within the city limits, writes "Flagpole".

That's what happened on the first day of summer. On that day, the Ukrainian monitoring channel Rynda Monitorit recorded 10 UAV overflights on the territory of Homel region from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. The real number of UAVs may be higher. The real number may be higher.

The first to hear the unpleasant sound of a gasoline engine were residents of the southern outskirts of Homel at around 3:40.

From 5 to 6 a.m., the drone was heard in several settlements of Mozyr and Yelsk districts.

Then, around 8:30, two drones flew westward through the town of Kalinkovichi. Probably, one of the aircraft fell in Petrykivsky district.

At about 8 am, 2 drones flew over Yelsk. Their further route is known - the drones crossed the Belarusian-Ukrainian border at about 8:35 and continued their movement in the direction of Ukrainian Ovruch. This time is recorded in the summary of the Ukrainian monitoring channel Rynda Monitor.

The most noise was made by a drone in Rechitsa district. The UAV not only flew over the district and the center of Rechytsa, but also maneuvered, changing direction at low altitude. This was witnessed by hundreds of people from 9 to 10 a.m.

It is noteworthy that during daylight hours several observers recognized the characteristic triangular silhouette of the drone and identified it as "Shahed/Geran". While in some cases the flying machines were painted with black paint, in some cases the drones were light colored.
