Poland Pointed Out Lukashenko's Lies

There are no nuclear weapons in Belarus.

Polish security agencies have no clear confirmation of the presence of Russian nuclear weapons in Belarus, the head of the Polish Bureau of National Security (BBN) Dariusz Lukowski told the Rzeczpospolita.

"Although Lukashenko announced the presence of nuclear weapons in Belarus, we have no solid evidence of this," said the head of the BBN.

"However, we know that elements of infrastructure, combat platforms for the deployment of such weapons are being prepared, and training is being conducted with the participation of Russian instructors," Lukovsky noted.

In his opinion, the deployment of nuclear weapons near the borders "from the military point of view makes no sense, since they are within the range of many classical precision weapons," and is an element of a political game.

"We also create dilemmas for the other side. Hence our interest in deepening cooperation under Nuclear Sharing (NATO's nuclear weapons sharing program - note). Similar elements are at the heart of the enhanced cooperation agreement signed with France," the BBN chief added.
