Ukraine's president responded to Trump.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that he is "not simple" in those issues that concern negotiations.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Zelensky's statement.
While talking to journalists, Zelensky recalled the importance of US President Donald Trump's support for sanctions against Russia.
The president said that "it is very important that later no one said that Zelensky is difficult in negotiations."
"I am not simple, but there is legislation. Legislation cannot be back and forth ... it's not a debate, so it is what it is. And that's why it's important that we all be consistent. I support the consistency that the U.S. side has proposed -- ceasefire or sanctions. We didn't want sanctions against us, we support a cease-fire. To the Russians? Probably they do not care, then we ask to apply sanctions," - said Zelensky.
It is worth recalling that the other day Trump called Zelensky "stubborn". In particular, the journalist noted that the team of the American president "deals with a very stubborn Vladimir Putin." To which the latter replied, "And also, with a very stubborn Zelensky."
