Soon Lenin's mausoleum on Red Square in Moscow will be closed for restoration, RBC writes.
The mausoleum is planned to be under restoration until June 2027. In order to have time to see Lenin's mummy, Muscovites lined up in a large queue on Red Square.
The museum plans to make the room suitable for modern use, update the fire protection system and carry out restoration during the renovation.
The Vladimir Lenin mausoleum is located near the Kremlin wall on Moscow's Red Square. Inside the funeral hall is a sarcophagus with an embalmed body.
In February 2025, Lenin's mausoleum on Red Square was closed for two months for preventive maintenance. In April, it was closed to visitors in connection with the preparation and holding of May holiday events.
