A new temperature record of the day for the entire period of instrumental meteorological observations was recorded in Belarus on June 6. This is reported by "Pozirk" with reference to a comparative analysis of operational and archival data of Belgidromet.

In Bragin and Lelchitsy the air warmed up to 31.7 degrees Celsius. The previous maximum lasted for 25 years (31.6 degrees in Brest). In Brahin the local extremum was exceeded by 0.3 degrees (31.4 in 2014), in Lelchitsy - by 0.9 (30.8 in 2003).

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources Belgidromet, June 6, the maximum temperature in Minsk was 26 degrees Celsius, in Brest - 27, in Grodno - 25.4, in Homel - 30.7, in Mogilev - 27.9, in Vitebsk - 24.7.

In the afternoon, thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the country, in some places with thunderstorms will pass heavy downpours. They also promise hail and strong wind gusts of 15-20 m/s.
