Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Brodsky has revealed a little-known fact: Israeli weaponry is already being used by the Ukrainian army.

In an interview with journalist Marichka Dovbenko, the diplomat said that Patriot missile defense systems previously in service with the IDF have been transferred to Ukraine, Dialog.UA reported.

"Patriot systems, which we once received from the United States and then adapted for our needs, are now in Ukraine. These are the same installations that were in our inventory in the early 90s. We agreed to hand them over, and unfortunately, almost no one talked about it. But when it is claimed that Israel did not help militarily, it is not true," Brodsky emphasized.

These words were a real revelation amidst the constant discussions about Israel's role in the conflict. While many had expected a more open position from Jerusalem, it turns out that real support was coming but remained in the shadows. Perhaps the Israelis have been forced to act quietly because of the difficult geopolitical balance in which the country exists.

Concluding the interview, Brodsky expressed hope that before the end of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine, long-awaited peace will come to the country. He added that Israel's experience of living under constant threat could be useful to Ukrainians both in the field of security and in building a sustainable society.
