Romania Starts Talks With Ukraine On Joint Production Of Drones

The city of Brasov is named as the probable place of production.

Romania's Defense Ministry is starting talks with Ukraine on joint production of drones that could be used by the Romanian army and exported to European countries.

Romanian Defense Ministry officials confirmed that talks with the Ukrainian side are already being prepared. It is expected that the agreements will be discussed at the level of defense ministers of both countries.

The preliminary plan is that Ukrainian manufacturers will provide combat technologies tested at the front, and Romania will finance the production of components. The city of Brasov is named as a probable place of production.

The drones will be supplied to Romania's armed forces, as well as exported. However, due to budget constraints, the project may be postponed until 2026.
