Rosaviatsia has imposed flight restrictions.

Ukrainian drones have stepped up attacks on the Moscow region. On July 19, within half an hour starting at 18:00, air defense forces (Air Defense Forces) shot down three drones on the approach to the capital, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported in his Telegram channel. "Emergency services specialists are working at the site of the fallen debris," he reported, writes The Moscow Times.

The explosions and downed UAV were reported, in particular, by residents of Troitsk near Moscow. Meanwhile, Rosiaviation reported the introduction of the "Cover" plan, involving a ban on the release and reception of civilian flights, at Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports. Earlier flight restrictions were introduced in the air harbor of Kaluga. Early in the morning during another drone raid the AFU also closed Sheremetyevo airport.

Last night Sobyanin reported about 13 Ukrainian drones shot down in the Moscow region. On July 18, according to the Moscow mayor, 13 UAVs were also destroyed in the region, and four more targets on Thursday.

The Russian Defense Ministry, for its part, reported that at night and during the day on Saturday, air defense systems managed to eliminate 20 Ukrainian drones in the Moscow region. Another 14 drones, according to the department's summary, were shot down in the region on July 18. On the night from Thursday to Friday, 10 UAVs were destroyed on the approach to Moscow, and before that on July 17 - four more, the Defense Ministry said. For three days, thus, around the capital, almost 50 drones of the AFU were shot down.

With the raids intensified on Moscow and the closure of airports of the Moscow air hub, serious delays of flights began again. Against this background, Rosaviatsia threatened to sanction Turkish Airlines on the pretext that the airline had violated the rights of passengers who had been unable to fly from Vnukovo to Bodrum for almost 24 hours.

The consequences of the AFU attacks also affected the Rostov region, where railway service was paralyzed after UAV debris fell and the contact line on the Likhaya-Zamchalovo line was damaged. Despite statements by Russian Railways that train traffic has been restored, passengers are still complaining about delays and about having to sit for hours in cars with non-working air conditioners in 30-degree heat.
