The Russian General Staff Is In Shock

"That's not fair."
My post about how, in principle, the air force of tiny Israel could take out the entire Russian air defense system in two weeks was quoted by some Kremlin cesspit. And it went viral. Hundreds of bots came, who decided to defend the honor of Russian aviation and air defense, which covered themselves with undisguised shame in Ukraine.
The reasoning was approximately the following:
- Iran had old air defense. So unfair
- Israel was backed by the US. So unfair
- It was American planes, not Israeli planes. So dishonest
- Israel disabled Iranian air defenses with saboteurs. So unfair
- Israel was only enough for 12 days, after which it quietly crawled away
- "Iron Dome" failed, all the cities of Israel lie in ruins
Let's go through these arguments.
Of course, the Russian General Staff is shocked. After all, it was he who dreamed of doing what Israel did - as quickly and beautifully. In a few days to achieve complete air superiority, to then dictate its terms to the enemy on the ground.
Deputy of the State Duma Anatoly Wasserman: "The operation will go down in history as a four-day war. Because the holders of the current record - a five-day war - the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will try, like great athletes, to leave a reserve for setting subsequent records." Oops. Neither in four days nor in four years will Russia be able to repeat what Israel did in a few days.
Russian military budget exceeded Ukraine's by a factor of 11. Russia had stockpiled thousands of cruise and ballistic missiles with which it planned to completely destroy all of Ukraine's aviation and air defense. Russia outnumbered Ukraine more than 13 times in terms of total aviation. Russia outnumbered Ukraine by 9 times in helicopters. In tanks - 8 times. In armored vehicles - 5 times. The Russian navy outnumbered the Ukrainian navy an infinite number of times. Ukraine had no fleet. Ukraine's air defense was as old as Iran's. In fact, Iran produced a huge number of its own missile systems - and its air defense was more powerful than Ukraine's.
And now let's try to compare Israel to Iran and its proxies. Iran's population is 10 times that of Israel. GDP and defense spending are quite comparable. In terms of the number of airplanes - approximate parity. In addition, Israel is forced to simultaneously wage war on several fronts, dispersing its forces - against it Hamas, Hezbollah, the Hussites. Iran has been preparing for this war for decades and has accumulated a huge number of missiles with which it has promised to destroy Israel. Iran has promised to send thousands of ballistic missiles a day at Israel. Plus tens of thousands of drones. And the result? Oops. Iran's nuclear project is defeated, air defense is destroyed, no air force, military factories and missile depots are blown up, the government is shaky, there is nothing to fight with.
Israel lost ONE soldier in this war (he was on leave and died under bombing, but is equal to those killed on the battlefield), 28 civilians and several hundred people wounded. They found something to brag about - bombing peaceful cities. Israel even knocked on the roof of an Iranian television station, then gave it time to evacuate and only then destroyed it. If necessary, it would easily leave Iran without industry, oil, gas and electricity at all. He did not do it for humanitarian reasons.
The complaints that Israel is fighting with American weapons are especially ridiculous. It's not a bug, it's a feature. It is the art of politics to create reliable allies. I don't remember Russian patriots moaning: how could we have fought in the Second World War with Aircobras, Spitfires and Hurricanes? It's not fair, bring back our Ishaks and TB-3s.
So just shut up, Russian patriots. Your commander-in-chief is shit, your generals are shit, your equipment is shit, your special services are shit, your army is shit. You know this very well in your heart.
