In Belarus, a single day of cleaning may be introduced at the legislative level, said the head of the Department of Municipal Economy and Energy of Minsk City Executive Committee Alexander Rakowshchik. State media say it will also affect the private sector, including grass cutting.

Alexander Rakowshchik said that about 46% of various territories in Minsk are assigned to enterprises and organizations.

- The message was given to enterprises to clean their territories, usually in the spring and autumn period... And we monitored how they did it: on Thursdays. Clean Thursday - it's on everyone's lips and in their heads," said the official.

It is noted that the rules of the unified cleaning day will clearly specify what and who should do. The innovation will also affect the private sector - it will include requirements for grass cutting and its regularity.
