Germany has claimed a laser attack by the Chinese military against a German plane involved in the EU's ASPIDES maritime operation.

This is according to a statement by the German Foreign Ministry in X, writes "European Truth".

On July 8, the German Foreign Ministry said it summoned the Chinese ambassador for a conversation in connection with the incident with a German plane involved in the EU's ASPIDES mission.

The foreign ministry said Chinese forces used a laser against the plane while it was carrying out its tasks as part of a mission to confront Husitan militants in the Red Sea.

"Endangering German personnel and obstructing the operation is absolutely unacceptable," the German Foreign Ministry said.
